HISTORY OF THE CHOIR AND ITS FOUNDER | OBJECTIVES | THE CHOIR: MEN AND WOMEN'S VOICES | HISTORY OF GREGORIAN CHANT

Gregorian chant, above all functional music, helps to translate as well as form prayer. That's why the Choir lives it in its natural setting: the divine liturgy.

The association's aim is to preserve and disseminate Gregorian chant as an essential part of our cultural heritage:
- public performances of the Gregorian repertoire, to the greatest possible extent and with the best possible musical quality, in a place of worship, by a choir whose composition and qualifications must correspond to the goal pursued.
- Theoretical and practical teaching of Gregorian chant for the training and improvement of choristers.

What does this mean?
- through the liturgy and singing the offices and mass, which are fundamental
- through training: Gregorian chant school
- by disseminating chant through recordings, concerts, and trips abroad.
The Choir has toured extensively throughout the world.  These journeys are, in a way, "pilgrimages", to carry the musical and spiritual message of Gregorian chant.
